How can I schedule an appointment?
To schedule an appointment, you have the option to book here for either a free initial consultation or a psychological counselling session. Following the booking, you will automatically receive a confirmation via email.
What happens if I can't keep an appointment?
If you have to postpone or cancel an appointment, you can do so free of charge via email or phone call up to 24 hours before the appointment. Cancellations made 24 hours or less before an appointment will be subject to the entire charge of the service rate.
How secure is psychological online counselling?
The psychological online counselling sessions are conducted securely with end-to-end encryption. As a psychologist, I adhere to the confidentiality requirements outlined in §203 of the German Criminal Code (Strafgesetzbuch – StGB).
Is psychological online counselling the best for me?
Psychological online counselling offers a convenient and efficient way to receive professional support. The video-based sessions closely resemble in-person counselling, allowing you to address your concerns more openly. Additionally, you can benefit from saving time on travel and waiting, and access counselling from anywhere.
Will the costs be covered by my statutory health insurance?
No, they are generally not covered by the statutory health insurance. The treatment is provided on a self-pay basis.
Does my private health insurance cover the costs?
This depends on your contract and the agreed-upon services for alternative practitioners of psychotherapy (Heilpraktiker für Psychotherapie). Please check this with your insurance company beforehand.
What are the costs for a session?
The costs for a 50-minute session are based on the fee framework for psychological services. The standard rate for self-payers in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, North America, and other high-income countries (such as Norway, UAE, or Australia) is generally between €90 and €120. As we are an online practice with a global clientele, we apply an individual, differential pricing system. This model is designed to be socially acceptable and takes into account the local cost of living in your country of residence. Your individual, adjusted price, which may be significantly below the standard range depending on your country of residence, will be discussed and fixed transparently during the free initial consultation. We always strive to find a fair and accessible solution.
Do I need a laptop or computer for the sessions?
Ideally, you should have a laptop or computer available for use. However, you can also use your mobile phone or tablet for the sessions. You will need a stable internet connection, camera, microphone and headphone.
